Recently, Rooms 19, 20 and 21 had an Olympic week to learn more about the Rio Olympics. The activities they chose were, language learning, country sports, flag making, medal making, and a lot of maths. As for the maths, they did decimals, measurement, and graph learning! The reason they are learning about the Olympics as a topic, is because it is the Olympics in August and it is new learning experience for them.
When it was Olympic day, Rooms 19, 20 and 21, paraded around the turf, singing, dressed up, and holding up the flags that they made to represent their countries!
Room 21 senior school student, Zoe said “The last few weeks have been awesome with loads of fun and learning. In the Olympic week we have been biking, running and doing gymnastics. It was so much fun I wish I could do it for the whole year round!”
Onerahi students hope for the best for the winners in Rio!
